Derby County goalkeeper David Marshall turned out to be the Scotland hero last night, helping the Tartan Army end their 22-year wait to qualify for a major tournament following a penalty shoot-out victory in Serbia in their Euro 2020 play-off final.

The 35-year-old had saved Israel's opening spot-kick in the previous round which saw Scotland progress, and he then repeated the trick, making a stunning one-hand stop from Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic's tenth and decisive penalty, after the opening nine had all been successful.

It means that Scotland will now join England, Croatia and Czech Republic in a mouth-watering Group D at next summer's European Championships - their first since the 1998 World Cup in France.

Having made the switch from Wigan in the summer following their relegation, Marshall's contribution continues his excellent start to the campaign, and has been one of the few positives for the Rams in what's so far been a miserable season.

Here we've been looking at how Derby fans have been reacting to Marshall's international heroics on social media.
