Millwall are interested in a move for Liverpool midfielder Herbie Kane, according to a report from Goal.

The 20-year-old enjoyed an impressive debut season in senior football last year, scoring seven goals and providing nine assists in 49 appearances during a season long loan at Doncaster Rovers, helping the League One side to reach the play-offs, were they were beaten in the semi finals by eventual promotion winners Charlton Athletic.

Kane's performances however appear to have caught the eye of those watching on from above, with reports claiming that Championship duo Millwall and Brentford have both enquired about Kane's availability.

Having only signed a new contract at Anfield at the turn of the year, it is likely that any move for Kane would be another loan one.

So would Kane be a good signing for Millwall?

We asked some of our Football League World writers for their opinions.

George Brooks

"Kane could be a great signing for Millwall.

"He was very impressive for Doncaster in League One last season and could be ready to make the step up to the Championship.

"Kane probably isn't going to get a chance at Liverpool next season and another loan move would be the best thing for his development."

Toby Wilding

"This would be a smart move from Millwall.

"Neil Harris' side will need to strengthen if they are to avoid relegation again next season, and Kane would certainly help them do that.

"He is young, hungry, and already has an eye for goal from midfield, which would make him a big asset if he decides on a move to The Den."

George Harbey

"What a signing this'd be.

"The Lions definitely need some fresh faces in the middle of the park, and Kane would provide just that.

"He had a fantastic season with Doncaster, contributing to plenty of goals whether that be by scoring or assisting, and is more than ready to test himself in the second tier."
