Nottingham Forest are eyeing a transfer swoop for Peterborough United midfielder Marcus Maddison, according to Sunday's print edition of the Sunday People.

Would the 24-year-old be a good signing for Aitor Karanka's side?

We discuss....

George Dagless

It'd be an exciting signing.

It suggests to me that potentially some of Forest's on loan attackers might be on the way in the summer but even if they don't leave it'd be a welcome addition.

He's destined for the Championship regardless of how Peterborough end this campaign and so Forest should look to swoop.

Ben Barkworth

Maddison would be an intelligent buy for Forest because he is ready for a step up from League One with his eight goals and 15 assists.

He could be bought for a bargain price due to the disparity between Peterborough and Forest, so this is definitely a good move on paper.

Chris Gallagher

What a signing this would be - Exactly what they need.

Forest's goalscoring record in recent months has been nothing short of disgraceful and whilst the strikers need to accept a lot of the blame, the service clearly isn't good enough either.

Maddison would change that. Even though he is playing in League One, he has the dribbling ability and eye for a pass to create in the Championship and would also weigh in with goals himself.

Alfie Burns

This would be an exciting addition to Karanka’s squad.

Maddison has been influential in League One, with goals and assists to his name.

The 24-year-old would fill the void left by Kieran Dowell perfectly.
