Swansea City continue to go quietly about their work, currently sitting in ninth place in the Championship, seven points off leaders Leeds United, following a shock defeat to Rotherham at the weekend.

Swans manager Graham Potter is gearing up for the January transfer window, with 23-year-old hot-shot Lawrence Shankland a player Swansea are keen to sign, having scored 21 goals in 18 appearances for Ayr United, according to Alan Nixon in the Sun on Sunday (November 4th, Page 59).

So would Shankland be a good signing for Swansea?

We discuss.....

Going off his goalscoring record for Ayr - what a signing this could be.

It doesn’t matter what division you’re playing in, if you’re scoring goals week in week out then you can adapt to any league.

Shankland has scored 21 goals in 19 games this season, and at only 23 years of age, he could be a real good signing for the Swans.

Jay Taylor

On paper, it would look like a terrific signing.

Lawrence Shankland has 21 goals in 19 games in all competitions for Ayr this season.

That is a phenomenal record, whatever league he is playing in, and shows he can find he net and has what it takes to do so on a consistent basis.

It remains to be seen if he can do it in the Championship, but it should certainly be a signing to consider.

George Dagless

Potentially.

Shankland is a good player who might now be ready for the step up to a club like Swansea.

He'd have to battle McBurnie but it might work out well.
