‘What a signing that is,’ ‘Announce promotion’ – Nottingham Forest fans delighted with latest arrival

Whilst Britt Assombalonga’s departure was an obvious blow for Nottingham Forest this summer, there is plenty to be positive about at the City Ground, as Mark Warburton reshapes his squad.

After last season’s fight against relegation, Warburton’s squad is looking a lot healthier heading into the 2017/18 campaign, even without the presence of Assombalonga.

Warburton has just made his latest signing of the summer, with Kieran Dowell arriving on a season-long loan from Everton.

The 19-year-old midfielder has made three senior appearances for Everton, but will now link up with Forest in the Sky Bet Championship, where he will hope to gain some first-team experience.

Dowell was part of the England under-20 squad that won the World Cup earlier this summer, and has featured regularly for Everton during their pre-season.
