Julian Borner has been awarded with Sheffield Wednesday's Player of the Month award, after a successful start to his Owls career.

Borner beat winger Kadeem Harris and Scottish forward Steven Fletcher to pick up the award in his first month at the club.

The centre-back joined from Arminia Bielefeld in the summer and has been part of a side that currently sits 11th in the Championship after six games.

The Owls had got off to a breathtaking start to the season, winning three of their first four fixtures before facing a couple of defeats before the international break.

Lee Bullen's side have kept two clean sheets, and have often frustrated their opponents with their rigid style. They'll be looking to climb up the table when they face Huddersfield, Fulham and Middlesbrough in what is a tough September for the Yorkshire side.

Here's how Sheffield Wednesday supporters reacted to Borner winning the award...
