Plenty of Sheffield Wednesday fans have reacted on social media, after the club announced the signing Australia midfielder Massimo Luongo from Queens Park Rangers.

The 26-year-old has joined Sheffield Wednesday on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee and becomes the Owls' fifth signing of the summer.

Luongo has been an important player for QPR over the past few seasons and scored three goals in 41 appearances for the Rs in the Championship last term.

Sheffield Wednesday finished 12th in the Championship last season, ten points outside the play-offs and will be hoping to challenge for promotion this term.

The Owls started the season with a 3-1 win over Reading at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday, but are still searching for a permanent manager after Steve Bruce controversially decided to leave the club to take charge of Newcastle United last month.

Luongo could make his debut for Sheffield Wednesday against Barnsley at Hillsborough in the Championship on Saturday.
