Swansea’s Mo Barrow became Leeds United’s second signing of Deadline Day, reports the club’s official website.

Barrow, who previously played under Monk for the Swans, has joined the club on-loan until the end of the season.

Newcastle United had been interested in signing Barrow, but turned their attention to Crystal Palace’s Andros Townsend.

The 24-year old winger follows Spanish winger Alfonso Pedraza into Elland Road today, with both players expected to be involved with the squad for Sunday’s trip to Huddersfield.

It had been a quiet transfer window for the Yorkshire side up until today, with Toumani Diagouraga and Luke Murphy departing on-loan and Alex Mowatt joining local rivals Barnsley.

The two wingers are the first arrivals at Elland Road and add to Monk’s attacking options.

Leeds are looking for a Premier League return for the first time since 2004 and Leeds fans will be hoping their two new additions can help them achieve this.
