Huddersfield Town manager Danny Cowley has made a real statement of intent following the loan signing of Leicester City midfielder Andy King until the end of the season, as confirmed on the Terriers' club website.

The 31-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan at Rangers, but after only making two appearances for Steven Gerrard's side he was recalled by the Foxes earlier this month.

So is the signing of King good business by Huddersfield, is he needed and do you feel he will start for the Terriers?

Phil Spencer

“What a shrewd move this is.

“Huddersfield have struggled at times this season with leadership being a real issue for Danny Cowley.

“Andy King is a player who plenty of Championship clubs will have been interested in and he could be a big addition for the Terriers.

“The 31-year-old has a wealth of experience in the second tier with Leicester City and was a massive part of the club’s rise to the Premier League and subsequent glory that followed.

“King may not be a part of Brendan Rodger’s plans as Leicester hunt down a place in the Champions League, but he certainly has a lot to offer.

“I’m surprised that more clubs haven’t come forward for the midfielder but I’m sure that Huddersfield won’t be complaining.”

Ned Holmes

"The addition of King looks like a smart one for Danny Cowley and Huddersfield, though I'm not sure it's a completely necessary one.

"King is an experienced, hard-working player and someone that you feel is going to fit right in under a manager like Cowley.

"However, in Hogg, Chalobah, Bacuna, and O'Brien, the Terriers have some strong options in central midfield.

"King would be a smart addition but he is understood to be on £40,000-a-week, so you'd question whether that money could be better used in another area."

Ben Lang

"This is a solid signing for Huddersfield. King will bring bags of experience to the club in the second half of the campaign, and he will no doubt be able to give the club a boost on and off the pitch.

"There is some risk involved in the deal given King could not get much playing time at Rangers during the first half of the campaign, but Huddersfield would not be pressing ahead with the deal if they felt King could not deliver for them.

"There will be some Huddersfield fans who will think the club should be making more long-term investments, but Danny Cowley's main priority must be to get the club away from the relegation fight, and he can achieve this by signing hard-working and experienced professionals.

"This should definitely be the Terriers' main focus in their current predicament, and I would feel confident in them surviving with solid players such as King in the side."
