Aston Villa broke back into the Championship play-offs last weekend and once again look like a side who could challenge for promotion.

A 3-0 win against Middlesbrough at Villa Park on Saturday made it five wins on the bounce for Dean Smith’s side, climbing above Derby and Bristol City and into the top-six.

They went into the break two goals to the good, with Anwar El Ghazi opening the scoring with a cool finish before John McGinn scored his third goal in a week to double the advantage.

The Villans remained firmly in control for the rest of proceedings, and Albert Adomah made doubly sure of the three points in the 88th minute.
