Nottingham Forest travel to Sheffield Wednesday tonight with their hopes of a top six finish hanging by a thread.

The Reds endured yet another bitterly disappointing afternoon at the weekend, losing 2-1 to relegation-threatened Rotherham United away from home.

The result leaves Forest now sitting five points off the play-off places, with the pressure building on Martin O'Neill as he prepares his side for a trip to Hillsborough.

Times have certainly changed since the last time Forest played Wednesday in the league - the Reds eased past the Owls by two goals to one under Aitor Karanka, as they took themselves to within two points off the top six.

It was a night where Joao Carvalho scored his first goal for Forest since arriving from Benfica for a club-record fee, however it is unlikely that he will make the same impact tonight.

The Portuguese playmaker has made just one league start under O'Neill, making a handful of appearances from off the bench.
