Queens Park Rangers fans have reacted to a video of midfielder Ilias Chair getting a standing ovation after being substituted during the Blackburn Rovers game at the weekend.

QPR halted a run of back-to-back defeats with an impressive attacking display in their 4-2 win at home to Blackburn Rovers in the Championship on Saturday.

A midweek defeat to Cardiff last week made the game against Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn all the more important, and goals from Nahki Wells, Ebere Eze, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Jordan Hugill secured the win in W12 to take QPR to within a point of the play-offs.

There were some heroic individual displays at Loftus Road, and one man who continues to earn the plaudits is Ilias Chair.

The 21-year-old midfielder spent last season on-loan at League Two Stevenage, but has returned to QPR this season and has been an integral part of Mark Warburton’s set-up so far.

Chair has nine starts to his name this season and one goal. His flair and technical ability in setting-up QPR’s attacks have been recognised, and fans on Twitter were quick to react to the video of him from Saturday:
