Liam Kelly is delighted at making his QPR debut and many R's fans are feeling the same after his penalty shoot-out heroics.

The Scot is a new arrival at Loftus Road this season, and although he won't be pleased with conceding three goals on his debut, the penalty shoot-out win will be great comfort to him.

The goalkeeper acknowledged himself on Twitter that the game was a bit of a 'rollercoaster', but QPR are through to the next round and he got to experience his first action of the season, which explains why Kelly is overjoyed.

He also used the opportunity to show Mark Warburton that he is capable of performing against a Championship side. He conceded three but made some good saves and distributed the ball well, so could soon overtake Joe Lumley in the pecking order.

QPR fans are pleased at seeing him featuring for the first time, and they will be confident that they will be in safe hands if Lumley is injured or suspended. Kelly too will get a huge confidence boost from his own display, particularly his winning penalty save.
