Nottingham Forest may have lost at the weekend but it was still a momentous occasion for Matty Cash, who took to

The game against West Brom was his 100th appearance for the club, and he topped it off in excellent fashion with a brilliant goal to put his side into the lead.

Cash, who came through the academy at Forest, remarked that he was very proud to have played so many games for a club which means so much to him, and despite the loss he urged Forest fans to be positive about the season ahead.

After a couple of seasons being in and out of the team, Cash, 21, really cemented his place in the starting line-up last season, and despite the several changes in manager in recent years he has been able to impress consistently.

His versatility is a bonus in his game, allowing him to feature along Forest's right flank either as a right-back or further up the field. He scored six goals in 36 games last season but the arrival of Albert Adomah means it is likely he will occupy a more defensive role this term.

Many Forest fans congratulated him on the landmark, and are more than pleased to see him shine, here are some of their responses to his post.
