Rotherham United have had a solid if not spectacular first third of the season under manager Paul Warne, with the Millers sitting in 19th place with 20 points.

On closer inspection though it is apparent that if Warne's side could convert a few of the many draws that they have had, to wins it would see them climbing up the table at a pace.

So on reflection, is manager Paul Warne overachieving at Rotherham?

We discuss.....

Gary Hutchinson

Yes, absolutely.

He’s made some good loan signings though, Ryan Manning was a good capture and up until the injury, so was Sean Raggett.

Rotherham are punching above their weight and I hope it continues.

Warne was a good honest pro and he’s pulling the same trick as manager.

George Harbey

I think they are slightly overachieving, but what a job he is doing.

Everyone expected Rotherham to go straight back down to League One this term, myself included, but he’s build a great team spirit and they look solid at home.

Long may it continue.

Jay Taylor

It’s probably a mix of overachieving, yes but a fair bit of momentum in equal measure.

Having been promoted last season, Rotherham are riding the crest of a wave as Millwall did last term, and they are above a position than many thought they would be in.

If they stay up this year, next season is the real test.

But, at present, I feel that Rotherham are doing as well as they had expected to do, and will need to carry that on in the New Year if they are to pull away from the bottom three and consolidate in the division.
