Birmingham City fans have reacted to the rumours linking Aitor Karanka with the vacant post at the club, slamming the board for their perceived 'time-wasting' in the matter.

The Spaniard emerged as a candidate this week but with talks ongoing, and Birmingham reportedly talking to a number of other candidates, fans have reacted angrily.

Karanka took Middlesbrough to the Premier League in 2016 and has been out of a job since departing from Nottingham Forest in January last year.

Now as the club prepares for another season of Championship football, they're rumoured to considering several names for the vacancy - ex-Leeds United manager Paul Heckingbottom is one, with Robbie Fowler in the mix as well after his departure from Australian A-League side Brisbane Roar.

Blues fans are pretty adamant that they'd like to see Karanka in the dugout though, and they're angry that the club is even considering anyone else at this time.
