‘What a farce’, ‘Excellent’ – These Ipswich fans are divided following managerial development

Ipswich Town are set to announce Paul Lambert as their new manager following the sacking of Paul Hurst.
The former Shrewsbury boss was dismissed this afternoon after winning just once in 14 league games so far this campaign, which has left the side just bottom of the league.
And, owner Marcus Evans is poised to make a controversial decision in terms of replacing Hurst, with ex-Norwich City manager Paul Lambert set to take over.
The Mirror initially reported that the Scot was going to replace him and that has since been confirmed by several other media outlets.

Lambert spent three years at Carrow Road during which time the club won back-to-back promotions. As well as that, they convincingly beat the Tractor Boys in that period.
Given those connections, some fans were opposed to the idea of the former Wolves man joining, particularly when you consider his recent jobs haven’t been positive.
However, some think his experience could be useful given the relegation battle the side are in.
Here’s how some fans reacted to the news on Twitter…
Excellent manager. No-one should care who he worked for in the past #itfc

Willing to give him a chance but not the signing I wanted or expected… a bit like Jewell and McCarthy

Not surprised he's gone not convinced Lambert is the best replacement but then is. I would of gone for Bruce and Holland

Anyone but Lambert…

Dreadful. All the morals that ITFC have been built upon have been destroyed by the clueless Marcus Evans. Now we’re sacking managers two months into a season. Dark days #EvansOut

No-one at the Club wants Lambert
