Kane Vincent-Young is stepping closer to returning for Ipswich Town after he was back in training for Paul Lambert's side.

The summer signing enjoyed a superb start to life at Portman Road, scoring two goals in his first nine appearances which helped the Tractor Boys to the automatic promotion places.

However, the 23-year-old hasn't featured since October, with a hernia repair and an adductor tendon issue requiring surgery - and Ipswich have suffered without the wing-back in that time.

But, he is closing in on a return to fitness after the club shared a short video of Vincent-Young back out running this afternoon.

Whilst that doesn't mean he will be available this weekend, it shows he is improving quickly and it's fair to say the update has delighted the fans who recognise how important the player is to their promotion push.
