After taking over at Derby County in June following Frank Lampard's decision to move to Chelsea, Phillip Cocu opted to put his own stamp on the club by overhauling his squad.

Whilst the Dutchman ended up signing the likes of Krystian Bielik, Matt Clarke and Kieran Dowell, he also allowed a number of individuals to leave the club.

One of the players who made a permanent exit from Derby in the summer was Bradley Johnson who joined Blackburn Rovers on a two-year-deal.

During his time with the Rams, the midfielder established himself as a key player for the club as he made 141 appearances in all competitions over a four-year period.

After the club announced that Johnson had moved on to pastures new, plenty of Derby fans reacted to the news on Twitter.

Since making the switch to Ewood Park, it is safe that Johnson has yet to hit top-form for his new side in the Championship.

Despite illustrating some real signs of promise against the likes of West Bromwich Albion and Hull City, a lack of consistency has impacted the midfielder's performance levels in recent weeks.

Following an underwhelming display against Luton Town, Johnson was forced to watch on from the sidelines by Blackburn manager Tony Mowbray for the club's clashes with Nottingham Forest and Queens Park Rangers.

However, given that Rovers only managed to pick up one point from these two fixtures, the former Northampton Town man will be hoping to make his return to action in Saturday's showdown with Huddersfield Town.

Providing that Johnson can deliver an eye-catching display for Rovers, he could help the club leapfrog Derby in the Championship standings depending on the outcome of Cocu's side's clash with Charlton Athletic.
