‘We’ve got a star on our hands’ – Many Millwall fans react to one player’s display in Huddersfield Town win

Scott Malone came back to haunt his former side Huddersfield to earn Millwall a much-needed and hard-earned three points in Yorkshire on Wednesday night.
Gary Rowett’s men had tasted victory just once in their previous 15 Championship matches, but moved nine points clear of the relegation-zone courtesy of the former Terriers left-back’s crisp finish inside the opening five minutes.
It was his third goal in Lions colours in league and cup, but the defender owed plenty to the work of Danny McNamara, who produced some impressive work to keep the ball alive before sending over a delivery that Malone swept home from.
7 of these 18 facts about Millwall boss Gary Rowett are fake โ Can you identify which ones arenโt true?
McNamara, who was only recalled from his loan spell with St Johnstone earlier this month, has appeared to have moved above Mahlon Romeo in the pecking order – starting each of Millwall’s four matches in all competitions following his return.
The 22-year-old turned in another battling display against Huddersfield and more than played his part in the Lions collecting three crucial points.
McNamara already appears a fans favourite with The Den faithful, and here’s how they reacted on Twitter to his performance at the John Smith’s Stadium:
Thompson and McNamara are proper Millwall boys! ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป

Weird game, didnโt attack much after half time besides the disallowed goal but never felt like Huddersfield were gonna do much going forward. Malone, Leonard & Danny Mac the stand outs ๐๐ป๐๐ป #millwall
