Coventry City have snapped up their third signing of the summer transfer window after they confirmed the arrival of Junior Brown on a free transfer.

The impressive left-back, who can also play as a central midfielder, joins the Sky Blues on a two-year deal after turning down a new contract at Shrewsbury Town.

The 29-year-old played over 100 games for Salop, although his appearances were restricted last year because of injury.

In his career, Brown has also represented Crewe Alexandra, Fleetwood Town, Oxford United and Mansfield Town.

He becomes Coventry's third summer signing after the arrivals of Brentford midfielder Zain Westbrooke and Dulwich Hamlet winger Reise Allassani.

Many fans took to Twitter to welcome Brown to the Ricoh Arena but also to speculate about the futures of current players in that position.

With three decent left-backs in Chris Stokes, Ryan Haynes and Chris Camwell, it is likely that Coventry will offload at least one of these or turn Haynes into a winger and loan out Camwell.

Here are how Coventry fans reacted to Brown's arrival at the club ahead of their League One campaign.
