West Ham United are confident of sealing a deal for Ryan Fredericks in the summer, despite facing competition from both Swansea City and Everton.

According to the Daily Mirror’s print edition (April 12th, page 60), Fredericks is one of David Moyes’ top transfer targets, with the West Ham boss impressed with the right-back’s contribution at Fulham this season.

Fredericks is also attracting interest from Everton and Swansea, but West Ham are confident of sealing a deal for the highly-rated 25-year-old, who is out of contract at Craven Cottage in the summer but still wanting to stay in London.

The right-back has featured in 40 of Fulham’s 42 Sky Bet Championship fixtures so far this season, registering seven assists and becoming one of the most impressive attacking full-backs outside the top-flight.

Impressive contributions from Fredericks and his teammates at Craven Cottage have helped to put Slavisa Jokanovic’s side into serious promotion contention in the Championship.

Fulham are unbeaten in their last 20 fixtures, which has helped them move from mid-table to the brink of automatic promotion.

Tuesday night’s 1-0 triumph over Reading at Craven Cottage lifted Fulham above Cardiff City and into second ahead of the final four fixtures of the season.

The Verdict

West Ham are clearly big admirers of Fredericks, who has been terrific in the Championship this season.

Moyes might well be confident of securing a deal for the 25-year-old, but should Fulham secure a Premier League return themselves, a deal would surely be in doubt.

Contract talks with Fredericks appear to be on hold whilst Fulham go in search of promotion, but if that promotion is achieved, surely Fulham will look to tie the 25-year-old down.
