West Ham United have moved a step closer to signing Said Benrahma with them agreeing on personal terms with the Algerian winger.

Benrahma is a very gifted footballer and showed his quality to great effect last season for Brentford as they made the play-off final.

However, with them losing to Fulham it became quickly apparent that the Bees' best stars were going to leave the club, or at least get linked away, with Ollie Watkins already leaving for Aston Villa.

And, with days left in the domestic window, it looks as though Benrahma could be set for an exit from west London with Nicolo Schira reporting that personal terms have now been agreed and all that remains to be done is that the clubs reach a fee for the move:

The Verdict

West Ham still have some money to spend and it seems as though they are looking to use it on Benrahma.

They've had recent success in signing players from the Championship with the likes of Jarrod Bowen doing well and there's no reason why Benrahma can't also step up to the plate.

He brings goals and assists in abundance and could be a fine signing for the Hammers so let's see how things develop.
