Premier League side West Ham United are preparing a £10 million move to sign Birmingham City forward Che Adams, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The Hammers are looking to sign another striker before the transfer window slams shut on Thursday evening, and have been linked with a move to sign Celta Vigo forward Maxi Gomes.

But reports have now surfaced that Manuel Pellegrini could now look to switch attention to Birmingham City talisman Che Adams, with the Hammers preparing to make a £10million bid for the powerful forward.

Adams has been incredible for Garry Monk's men this season - the 22-year old has scored 14 goals and produced three assists for the West Midlands club this season.

The forward's form in front of goal has alerted interest from the likes of other Premier League sides Burnley and Southampton, who are all keen on landing the prolific forward with just a matter of days to go until the end of the transfer window.

Birmingham have insisted that Adams isn't for sale this month, with the club currently under a transfer embargo. Blues currently sit 13th in the Sky Bet Championship table, seven points off the play-off places ahead of a trip to Swansea City on Tuesday night.

The Verdict

I think Adams would be worth every penny for West Ham.

He is the complete forward - he's strong, quick and powerful and certainly knows where the net is.

He's still young, and has a massive future ahead of him, and West Ham could be the perfect destination for the prolific forward.
