Queens Park Rangers decided to roll the dice this summer, parting ways with Ian Holloway and bringing in Steve McClaren.

McClaren will bring a new style of play and new methods to the QPR side but it will be interesting to see if he can improve upon the two consecutive mid-table finishes that Holloway has delivered for the West London outfit.

QPR need reinforcements this summer to push on.

While they have a good core squad, they still need better players in their starting line-up to reach the next level and start competing for a play-off spot.

McClaren will be hoping that young players like Bright Osayi-Samuel, Eberichi Eze, Paul Smyth, Ryan Manning and Ilias Chair can step up and star in the first-team but they need some more experienced players around them too.

Here are THREE realistic new additions that QPR should be targeting this summer...

West Ham are likely to let Burke leave the club on a permanent basis this summer, especially after signing Issa Diop.

The 21-year-old centre-back has two years of experience in the Championship, already looks comfortable at this level and will only get better with more playing time.

Adelakun will be available for a small compensation fee this summer after choosing to leave Scunthorpe United.

The 22-year-old winger netted five goals and laying on 14 assists for team-mates, making him a useful threat out wide for any Championship team.

Maddison was arguably one of the best creative players in the third tier last season, racking up 10 goals and 21 assists for Peterborough United.

Posh seem resigned to losing the 24-year-old midfield man and QPR should definitely swoop for him.
