West Ham lining up double transfer deal as Moyes heads on scouting mission

West Ham manager David Moyes was spotted at last night’s Leeds and Fulham game as he enters the final stages of his summer recruitment preparation.

Get West London report that Moyes was there to monitor at least two players he’s been heavily linked with in the past, midfielder Tom Cairney and full back Ryan Fredericks.

Cairney has been impressive in the centre of the park for the Cottagers, making 29 appearances and scoring four times. He’s bagged three in his last six outings too, including one in the Good Friday victory at Carrow Road.

The report suggests Moyes had bids turned down for the Scottish midfielder in January, but will be back in the summer to renew his interest.

25-year old Fredericks is a former Tottenham trainee who has also enjoyed a great season at Craven Cottage. He’s only missed two league games.

Moyes is also set to launch a raid for Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic in the summer, having stepped up his observations of the Newcastle man. He was at Serbia’s recent clash with Nigeria, and Mitrovic didn’t disappoint, scoring twice for his country and again last night for his current club.

The Verdict

Fulham are doing well, their players are playing well and there’s no surprise they’re attracting attention. If Fulham go up I doubt Cairney and Fredericks would consider a move, whereas Mitrovic might as he’ll be returning to Newcastle. All three are quality footballers though with ‘Premier League’ written all over them.
