West Ham United are the latest club to emerge in the battle for Hull City forward Jarrod Bowen and are pushing the hardest to secure a deal for the 23-year-old, according to reputable journalist Alan Nixon.

Bowen has been in fantastic form for the Tigers this season, contributing to more goals (16 goals and seven assists) than any other player in the Championship.

He has been linked with a move to the Premier League club since the summer but it appears the battle for him is really heating up as the end of the transfer window creeps closer.

Sky Sports has reported that Crystal Palace are in talks over a £16 million deal for Bowen, while Newcastle United are also thought to be keen on signing the 23-year-old.

According to Nixon, West Ham have joined the race for the Hull forward and are pushing the hardest to get a deal done.

Nixon claims that the Hammers are offering straight cash for Bowen, which is preferred by the Tigers, and would provide the player with the move to the Premier League he has been hoping for.

He also suggests that the reported figures concerning Palace's offer are incorrect.
