West Ham have asked over the availability of Troy Deeney with Watford open to offers for the striker, according to the Daily Star.

We've less than a week to go in the transfer window for domestic moves and it appears as though the Hammers could well be one of the sides to watch as they go about trying to finalise their squad for the rest of the season.

The Irons have had an interesting start to their campaign with two big wins getting record in their last two matches and fans will be excited by the prospect of that and the potential for more players to be joining them.

Deeney is one man getting linked, then, with the Daily Star suggesting that Watford are open to offers for the striker who has proven himself time and again at Premier League level.

The Verdict

Deeney is a good player with plenty still to offer in the top flight but so far we have not seen any real attempt from a side to bring him back into the Premier League from Watford.

There are a few days left in which to do so, though, so let's see if that's what the Irons end up doing.
