Norwich City starlet Jamal Lewis is attracting attention from a host of clubs this summer, according to talkSPORT presenter Geoff Peters.

West Ham United and Celtic are among the sides scrapping for the young left-back, who is highly rated by Norwich.

The Canaries are desperate to fend off interest and keep the Northern Ireland international and they have offered him a new deal to try to convince him to stay.

Premier League trio Burnley, Bournemouth and Watford are also in the hunt for Lewis, with Norwich growing increasingly worried that he could leave this summer.

The 20-year-old is reportedly settled at Norwich and he is valued at more than £10m.

Lewis enjoyed a stunning breakthrough season at Carrow Road, playing 24 games and scoring an eye-catching last minute equaliser against Chelsea in the cup as his only senior goal.

His top performances in yellow and green also earned him international recognition as he made his Northern Ireland debut.

A number of clubs are weighing up swoops for the talented defender but Norwich are hopeful that they can keep him at the club beyond this summer.

The Verdict

At West Ham, Lewis would be a fantastic long-term investment and the future successor for Aaron Cresswell at left-back.

At Celtic, Lewis would be the ideal capture if Kieran Tierney departs as he is a promising full-back who fits the bill for the Scottish giants given his attacking credentials.

But Norwich must stand firm and reject these advances, unless they receive a ridiculous offer, because he could develop into a star man in the next year at Carrow Road and either help them to promotion or be worth double his current valuation.
