West Bromwich Albion are casting an eye over Nigel Reo-Coker who is currently training with the Baggies, according to HITC Sport

The former Aston Villa and West Ham midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker has linked up with West Bromwich Albion for training.

Nigel Reo-Coker had a very short spell with MK Dons before being released by the relegated side, where the veteran did not make a single appearance in his time with the Dons.

The England 23 times Under-21 capped player made over 100 appearances for both Aston Villa and West Ham in the Premier League, showing his excellent pedigree.

He has spent many seasons playing in the MLS in recent years.

The Verdict:

Baggies faithful will be hoping the club are just doing the veteran a favour.

Anything more than offering the club's facilities to keep the player fit, would be a rather strange move from Darren Moore.

Talented in his day, Reo-Coker looks for all the world like his best days are behind him.

Failing to find his way onto the pitch for a relegated League One side will not do much to capture the interest of the Hawthorns faithful.

Perhaps an option for some experience to come off the bench, but Moore's resources would be better spent elsewhere.
