West Brom remain well on course to win a timely promotion back into the Premier League under the guidance of Slaven Bilic.

The Baggies are currently sat second in the Championship table, and are six points clear of third-placed Fulham with just nine games remaining in this year's campaign.

However, West Brom are winless in their last two games, and the club's supporters will be hoping that their side can get back to winning ways at the earliest of opportunities.

One player that has played a starring role in their impressive league campaign to date is Matheus Pereira, who has six goals and 16 assists to his name so far this season.

The winger signed on loan with the Baggies in the summer of 2019 from Portuguese giants Sporting CP and has certainly made a positive impact at The Hawthorns.

Pereira took to Twitter to issue supporters with an update on his training from home, with no scheduled return date being set as of yet by the relevant authorities.

It has previously been reported by the Express & Star that West Brom are looking to make Pereira's loan deal a permanent one at the end of the season, as they look to potentially plan for life back in the top-flight.

The Verdict:

It's good to see him still working hard away from the club's training ground.

Pereira has really impressed me in his first season with West Brom, and he'll play a key role in their bid for promotion into the Premier League this term.

It's a frustrating time to be a football supporter and player though, especially when uncertainty remains as to when sporting events will return.

Surely West Brom will be looking to make Pereira's loan deal a permanent one heading into the summer after such a strong run of performances this season?
