Dinamo Zagreb’s Mislav Orsic refused to commit his long-term future to the club after Slaven Bilic confirmed that he wants to bring the forward to West Brom.
The 27-year-old has appeared on Albion’s radar after a very impressive start to the season for the Croatian champions.
Orsic has scored 11 goals in 13 league games to help the side to the top of the table, whilst he also weighed in with four from six in the Champions League – including a memorable hat-trick against Atalanta.
Therefore, he would be considered a real coup for the Baggies and they have been given hope when it comes to signing the player after the Express & Star shared Orsic’s comments on his situation to the Croatian media.
“It’s hard to talk about. You see, now I’m solely focused on Dynamo. Whether or not the offer will come, no one knows. That’s why I’m only focused on training here and I want to get ready for the season to continue because we have two goals – to win the championship and the cup.
“This is what my agent takes care of, I am concentrating on football, training, team. A possible transfer, therefore, I cannot talk about now.”

This is the right sort of comment from Orsic. He has kept his current employers happy by not pushing for a move but he also hasn’t ruled a transfer out, insisting it’s all down to his agent.
Ultimately, money will talk though. It’s down to Albion to pay the required amount to land the player and then agree personal terms.
Given he could be playing in the Premier League in six months, a move to The Hawthorns could appeal to Orsic so it’s now down to the Baggies to act.
