Sky Bet Championship side West Bromwich Albion are considering Slavisa Jokanovic and David Wagner to become the club's new manager following the sacking of Darren Moore, according to reports from the Telegraph.

The Baggies parted company with the 44-year old on Saturday afternoon, with the West Midlands club's hopes of automatic promotion now surely over.

After being held to a 1-1 draw against  the division's bottom side Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon, the rookie manager was relieved of his duties by Albion as the club prepare for the latter stages of the campaign.

Reports from the Telegraph claim that the club are looking to appoint either David Wagner or Slavisa Jokanovic - two managers who have experience of gaining promotion to the top flight, and were also sacked by Premier League clubs this season.

Wagner worked wonders with Huddersfield Town in the 2016/17 campaign, whilst Jokanovic has been promoted twice from this division with both Watford and more recently Fulham via the play-offs last term.

West Brom currently sit 4th in the Sky Bet Championship table, nine points off the top two.

The Verdict

The sacking itself really surprises me, however these potential replacements really don't surprise me, as they are top, top managers.

Both have promotion from the Championship on their CVs, although if I were West Brom I would appoint Jokanovic.

His playing style would be an absolute dream for West Brom's attacking force, and I feel that Wagner is a one-club wonder and wouldn't fit in at the Hawthorns.
