West Brom want to sign Celtic midfielder Stuart Armstrong this summer, according to a report in the Daily Record.

The 26-year-old midfielder is thought to be on the move this summer, and now Celtic are open to the idea of allowing him to move on, a whole host of clubs in England are wanting to make a move for Armstrong.

Among the clubs interested are Crystal Palace, but it is West Brom, now in the Championship, who are looking the keenest among potential suitors to sign the attacking midfield ace.

Armstrong moved to Celtic following a successful spell with Dundee United, and has gone on to make just shy of 100 appearances for the Bhoys, scoring a goal every four games, something which has enhanced his reputation as a player who can player in the English game.

The Baggies are looking to add some new talent to their squad following their relegation from the top flight and will no doubt see someone like Armstrong as the perfect signing.

Any move though will come at a cost, with Celtic hoping to attract the highest bidder.

Brighton are also thought to have an interest in landing the midfielder.
