West Brom take on Aston Villa at Villa Park tomorrow in what is going to be one of the standout games in the Championship.

Baggies boss, Darren Moore has a potential selection dilemma ahead of the game, with a number of players facing late fitness tests.

One man that is definitely ruled out of the game this weekend is Dwight Gayle after he was handed a two-match-ban for his dive against Nottingham Forest.

Gayle's absence means that Jefferson Montero is set to return to the matchday squad, with the winger previously missing out due to the club exceeding the maximum number of loans.

Darren Moore revealed to the Express & Star that Matt Phillips, Hal Robson-Kanu, Ahmed Hegazi and James Morrison are all facing late fitness tests on the morning of the game at Villa Park.

Baggies supporters will be hoping that all of the players will be available, but Hegazi in particular will be the man they are keen to see return to the squad.

The Egyptian was ruled out of their game against Nottingham Forest in midweek, in which West Brom salvaged a late point through a Jay Rodriguez penalty.

It's sure to be a tricky fixture for the Baggies against a Villa side that will be looking to bounce back from a shock defeat to Brentford in midweek.

But if the Baggies have any ambition of gaining promotion this season, then they will need to come away from Villa Park with something to show for it.

The Verdict

They need to hope that the majority of these players are fit.

This isn't the sort of game where Moore will want to rely on the less experienced players in his squad, and he desperately needs the likes of Hegazi and Phillips fit in particular.

If they aren't deemed fit enough, then I fear that the Baggies could get turned over by Dean Smith's side this weekend.
