West Brom will be looking to return to the Championship play-off positions when they welcome Coventry City to The Hawthorns this evening.

The Baggies have won their last five league games at their Midlands home and will be confident that they can strengthen that record against the Sky Blues.

Mark Robins' side are also competing for a play-off spot in what remains of this campaign and currently sit five points off Blackburn Rovers in sixth spot.

However, Coventry are without a league win away from the CBS Arena since they won 1-0 at Watford in early November.

Here, we take a look at the latest West Brom team news and see who will be, and could be missing for tonight's game...

John Swift

Twisting his ankle in training prior to West Brom's trip to Bristol City in the FA Cup last weekend, it is expected that John Swift will return for tonight's clash.

Baggies boss Carlos Corberan has told Birmingham Live that the influential midfielder has been training and should be available for selection.

The 27-year-old has appeared 27 times in the league this season, scoring three goals and registering six assists in what is his first season at The Hawthorns.

Kyle Bartley

Kyle Bartley has been missing from match days squads for nearly three months but is seemingly closing in on a return.

The experienced centre-back has appeared seven times this season, scoring in his last two games before the World Cup-enforced break.

Whilst in conversation with Birmingham Live about Bartley's situation, the Spaniard suggested that he could be ready for next week.

Matt Phillips

Matt Phillips is one of two current long-term absentees at The Hawthorns, with the winger expected to miss the rest of the season.

Suffering a muscle injury in his quad during the recent FA Cup replay against Chesterfield, it has now been confirmed that surgery is required.

Corberan suggested that it will take 12-16 weeks for him to recover, providing some hope that he could make a return before the end of the campaign.

Kean Bryan

Kean Bryan has not had much luck on the injury front since arriving at The Hawthorns.

Ruprtruing his cruciate ligament in November 2021, it appears that the centre-back is no closer to making a return.

He has been out of action for 15 months and will need to be gradually eased back into things when he is ready to make his return, whenever that may be.
