Despite rumours that Grady Diangana could be recalled by his permit club West Ham United, the winger has expressed his gratitude towards West Bromwich Albion manager Slaven Bilic.

Rumours have circulated the footballing world that the youngster could be on his way back to London to West Ham who have endured a difficult start to their Premier League campaign and have a recall clause on the player.

However, this hasn’t stopped the player praising his manager at the club for all the confidence he has shown in him already this season.

Speaking to the club’s official website about the influence of Bilic, he outlined why it's been easy to settle.

"I’m really enjoying my time at West Bromwich Albion. Playing every week is amazing for me and it’s helping me gain a lot of confidence. I feel very comfortable at the Club and everyone has been treating me really well.

"To be a big part of the team shows that Slaven Bilić has trust and confidence in me and that makes me feel special. It’s really nice to be a part of the team."

His impressive performances this season have helped the Baggies to top spot of the Championship table. In 14 games, he has scored four goals and provided four assists in what is proving to be an impressive debut season in the Championship.

The Hammers have two weeks from the start of the window in January to bring the youngster back.

The verdict

There is no doubt that West Brom should do everything in their power to hold on to Diangana for as long as they can. The problem is, they have very little power in the situation and Diangana keeps performing well.

Strangely, Albion probably don't want him to play too well because that's when the Premier League club takes notice and he does look like a player who could perform at the highest level of English football.

Although, with attacking options like Charlie Austin, Kenneth Zohore and Filip Krovinovic all on the bench in their most recent fixture, it wouldn't quite be the end of the world for the team if he did depart.
