The biggest game of the Sky Bet Championship weekend comes around tonight as Middlesbrough host West Brom at the Riverside Stadium.

Both sides have started well with Boro unbeaten in their first four and West Brom winning their last two games to get back towards the sharp end of the league.

Certainly, both will fancy their chances of getting a good result here and it should be a good match between sides that both have serious attacking intent.

Indeed, in comments to Birmingham Live, Hal Robson-Kanu has said that Middlesbrough are a strong outfit and that they will be certainly in the race for promotion this season.

The West Brom man said:

"They’ve got a strong squad and will certainly be in and amongst it this season so it will be an exciting game.”

A positive verdict for Middlesbrough fans to hear, then, but West Brom will still be confident of getting a result with eleven goals coming for them in their last two league games.

The Verdict

Robson-Kanu is right to say that Boro will be in the mix and with West Brom surely contenders, too, this early game is significant.

The title cannot be won for a long time yet, of course, but in a very competitive looking league this season, whoever takes the three points could earn themselves a big advantage later on.
