Baggies boss Tony Pulis has identified Gray as a top target for his squad and is looking to make a move for the 18-year-old this summer.

The exciting winger is also a target for Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool, so the Baggies will certainly face a fight to land one of the emerging talents from the Championship.

The youngster has impressed for the Blues this season and caught the eye of Pulis when the winger featured against his side in the FA Cup earlier this season.

Bournemouth had four bids for Gray rejected by Birmingham in January. It is understood the Cherries bid up to £5 million for the England Under-19 international.

Eddie Howe’s side are fighting for promotion in the Championship and may make another bid for the winger should they be promoted to the Premier League.

Birmingham-born Gray has been with the club since the age of 11 and progressed through the club’s academy to make his debut in October 2013 in a 4-0 win over Millwall.

He has gone on to make 41 appearances for the Blues, scoring five goals.
