West Brom could reward Darren Moore with a new deal after his impressive first nine months in charge of the club.

The former Albion player landed the job on a permanent basis in the summer after making a positive impact whilst in caretaker charge last season.

He has dealt extremely well with losing several key players in pre-season and the Baggies are firmly in the hunt for an automatic promotion place.

And, the Mirror report that Moore could be in line for a new contract as they look to tie the talented coach down for the long-term and prove that his work has not gone unnoticed.

The length of his current deal was not disclosed when he was announced as boss in May and there was some uncertainty as to how Moore would cope given his lack of experience.

However, the side have been playing good football this season and will look to close the gap on the top two with a victory at Stoke this evening.

As well as that, Moore has handed several youngsters an opportunity, which Albion chiefs are believed to be pleased about.

The Verdict

This seems like a smart move from West Brom as Moore has done a fantastic job when you consider the turmoil the club were in at the end of last season.

He has developed a clear way of playing, has encouraged more progressive football and most importantly they are getting results.

It's a pretty easy call for the board and it shows they have faith in the manager moving forward.
