West Bromwich Albion are set to bid for Bolton defender Tim Ream in the summer.

The versatile USA International can operate at centre-back and left-back and is a target for Pepe Mel’s West Brom side.

The 26-year-old spent a week training with the Baggies in December 2011 but decided to join Bolton instead a month later.

West Brom scouts have been regularly attending the Reebok Stadium to watch the USA international, and the club are set to make a move for him in the summer.

Ream has made 54 appearances for Bolton, and a fee in the region of £4 million would be enough to prize Ream away from Bolton.
