West Brom pair Bakary Sako and Matt Phillips should be available for the Baggies clash against Wigan after the international break.

Scotland international Phillips has enjoyed a fine season for Darren Moore's men, scoring four goals in nine games.

However, he has been absent since going off in the home win against Millwall last month, with a muscle strain.

Albion have been patient in bringing him back into the team, despite his importance, but he should be ready for the visit of the Latics on October 20, according to the Express & Star.

And, another man who could play in that game is Sako, who only joined at the start of the month.

Despite that, the former Wolves man has been training with Moore's side for several weeks and whilst he won't be ready to start, he could feature fom the bench.

The game against Paul Cook's Wigan is the start of three fixtures in a week.

The West Midlands side head into the international break in second position after an emphatic victory over Reading last time out.

The Verdict

This is great news for West Brom, particularly with Phillips returning as he is a very important player in this 3-4-1-2 system, with Tyrone Mears not having the same quality going forward when he replaces him.

Therefore, he will be a welcome return and gives the Baggies yet another threat going forward.

Additionally, Sako is a fine option for Moore to have. He is likely to start on the bench but he has the potential to be a game-changer.
