West Bromwich Albion are quietly going about their business this summer and have made some impressive moves in the transfer market.

Sam Johnstone is a terrific signing and the perfect replacement for Ben Foster between the sticks, while Jonathan Bond provides adequate back-up.

They have also snapped up Kyle Bartley at centre-back and this could prove to be one of the deals of the summer.

Conor Townsend is a promising left-back who will push Kieran Gibbs for starts and Harvey Barnes adds some pace, youth and an eye for goal from the wing.

But with the transfer window coming to a close, there is still some scope for some more additions.

One area that Darren Moore could look to bolster is his creative midfielder options, especially if Nacer Chadli and Matty Phillips depart.

It could be a big season for Ollie Burke, and likewise for Jonathan Leko, but Moore will want depth to his attacking midfield options.

West Brom should consider a swoop for Peterborough United star Marcus Maddison, who is on the transfer list to allow him to fulfil his ambition of playing at a higher level.

For the past few seasons, Maddison has been one of the best players in League One and he has such raw talent.

The 24-year-old scored 10 goals last season and contributed with a mammoth 21 assists, making him one of the best Football League players outside of the Championship.

Maddison is comfortable anywhere in the attacking midfield line, on either flank and even at left-back, making him a versatile option for Moore as well.

With a magic left foot, impressive vision and an eye for goal himself, the former Newcastle United youngster could be a shrewd addition for the Baggies and help them compete at the top of the division.
