West Bromwich Albion will be able to call on Alex Mowatt and Karlan Grant on Sunday when they host Cardiff City at the Hawthorns.
Valerien Ismael’s side fell to a 1-0 defeat against Derby County on Monday, with Mowatt and Grant two players that the Baggies boss was unable to call on.
Both had returned positive lateral flow tests ahead of Derby, with Grant’s PCR test proving that his lateral flow was a ‘false positive’ – as a result, both now return to contention as West Brom prepare to take on the Bluebirds.
News from Valerien Ismael's pre-Cardiff press conference: Alex Mowatt and Karlan Grant available again after missing Derby due to positive lateral flow tests. Grant's PCR test ended up showing his LFT had been a false positive. #WBA

Mowatt, 26, has scored three times in 18 appearances since joining in the summer from Barnsley, proving to be a driving force in midfield.
Grant, meanwhile, has adapted brilliantly to life back in the Championship, with the 24-year-old striking nine goals in 23 outings.
West Brom’s defeat at Derby saw them slip off the pace of the top-two again. They enter 2022 fourth and four points adrift of Fulham, who sit second.
Quiz: Did West Brom do these 22 things in 2021?
Ismael will be delighted that he is getting Mowatt and Grant back.
There’s no denying that West Brom are a better side with the pair in the starting line-up, with Mowatt’s know-how of Ismael’s midfield structure and Grant’s goals so important.
Derby was a bump in the road, with the return of Mowatt and Grant sure to help West Brom return to winning ways swiftly.
That’s needed as the table continues to take shape.
