West Brom may have seen the last of 24-y/o after future update

West Brom will be looking to get themselves sorted quickly this summer as they aim to go better than they did this year and make it into the top two of the Championship.

The Baggies played some nice stuff in 2018/19 but ultimately were let down by a lack of consistency, something that they simply must sort.

Who they sign to help do that, then, remains to be seen but it looks as though any hopes they had of keeping winger Jacob Murphy at the club are slimming all the time.

Though he didn’t really have the desired impact he would have liked since joining on loan, he is still a good winger and it seems as though Rafa Benitez wants to keep him at Newcastle.

Indeed, the Chronicle reports that the Spaniard remains a fan of him and so, that in mind, West Brom may well have seen the last of him already.

The Verdict

Murphy has got talent but it simply did not work for him at West Brom and so he heads back to Newcastle looking to try and prove himself.

It seems as though Rafa is a fan, though, and so we could well see him playing Premier League football next year.
