West Bromwich Albion have reportedly made a €9.5 million (£8.5m) offer for Dinamo Zagreb winger Mislav Orsic. 

The Baggies are preparing for their return to the Premier League after finishing second and securing automatic promotion in the 2019/20 campaign.

Slaven Bilic will no doubt be looking to add some more quality to his squad before the new season starts in September and it appears he's keen on landing Orsic.

It is understood that the Baggies offered €7 million (£6.2m) for the 27-year-old in January but that Zagreb wanted at least €10 million (£8.9m).

The report claims that the Baggies are now offering £8.5 million for Orsic and that Zagreb are yet to respond to the offer.

La Liga side Sevilla are also thought to be keen on the Croatian wide man and have enquired about his availability but not yet made an official offer.

Orsic had the most productive season of his career last term – scoring 21 times and grabbing 10 assists.

His performances helped Zagreb win the Croatian top flight but it appears West Brom are hoping to tempt him away with the prospect of Premier League football.

The Verdict

The Baggies were keen on Orsic in January and it appears ahead of their return to the Premier League they're pushing to get the deal done.

The 27-year-old was fantastic for Zagreb last season and produced some dazzling displays in the Champions League – showing he can cut it against some of Europe's top sides.

That sort of quality would be a fantastic addition to Bilic's squad, particularly with uncertainty surrounding some of their other forward options.
