Championship newcomers West Brom are hoping to land Sheffield United goalkeeper Simon Moore, according to respected sports journalist Pete O’Rourke.
The Blades stopper was pushed back to number two at Bramall Lane last season following the arrival of Jamal Blackman, and it would appear he is in the same scenario this time around, with United manager Chris Wilder adding Manchester United stopper Dean Henderson to the ranks.
Moore will no doubt want to sit as a number two for the Blades for another campaign, and a move to the Hawthorns and the chance to work under Darren Moore could be a tempting one.
West Brom are looking for a new ‘keeper after seeing Ben Foster depart for the Premier League, while Boaz Myhill has also departed.
However, Moore would no doubt have to make do with being number two in this situation too, with the Baggies having already signed Sam Johnstone from Man United after he excelled during a loan spell with Aston Villa last term.
Moore joined the Blades in a move from Cardiff City two seasons ago and was instrumental as the club romped to League One success, before suffering and injury last season which allowed Chelsea loanee Blackman to take his place in the sticks.
Blades fans, what do you think? Would this deal work for both clubs? Let us know in the comments!
