Championship new boys West Brom are hoping to move ahead of a host of clubs and land Bristol City defender Aden Flint this summer, according to a report by Bristol Live.

The big defender was once again in tremendous form for the Robins last term and has seen his stock rise, becoming well known for his commanding performances and ability to chip in with vital goals for Lee Johnson's men.

However, his form has drawn plenty of admiring glances from interested clubs, and now it looks like the Baggies are hoping to pip the likes of Middlesbrough and Fulham for the defender.

It is believed the club value Flint at around £9m, and West Brom could well be willing to part ways with such a sum, given they have just lost star man Jonny Evans in a cut price deal to Leicester City.

Flint is expected to be allowed to move clubs if the valuation of the player is met, with manager Lee Johnson willing to cash in on one of his prize assets and no doubt re-invest any funds generated back into the squad as he seeks another run at the top six.

The Robins spent much of last season in and around the playoff spots but ultimately fell short in the end.

West Brom fans, what do you make of this? Would Flint fit in well with your squad? Let us know!
