West Bromwich Albion are the latest club to enter the race for Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo, according to the print edition of The Guardian via the Sky Sports News Paper Talk page.

A host of Championship clubs have been alerted to the possibility that Liverpool are willing to sell Ojo permanently and a few clubs are lining up swoops.

Nottingham Forest and Reading have been linked while Stoke City have cooled their interest following the arrivals of James McClean from West Brom and Tom Ince from Huddersfield Town.

But West Brom have now registered their interest after losing McClean as they need reinforcements out wide.

Ojo scored four goals to help Fulham win promotion last season and he has previously had loan spells with Wigan Athletic and Wolves.

Liverpool are ready to let the 21-year-old leave after signing Xherdan Shaqiri from Stoke.

West Brom are now considering a swoop for the England youth international as they look to bolster their squad for the Championship campaign.

The Verdict

Ojo has a lot of natural talent with pace and skill in abundance but he blew hot and cold for Fulham last year.

On his day, he can be one of the most devastating wingers in the Championship but on another day, he struggles to make an impact in the game.

However, as a long-term investment, Ojo is probably worth a risk.
