West Bromwich Albion are interested in signing Blackburn Rovers striker Rudy Gestede, according to the Mirror.
Gestede joined Blackburn from Cardiff City in January last year, after an initial loan deal.
New Albion boss Tony Pulis is looking to expand his goal scoring options after club record signing Brown Ideye only managed to score one goal this season.
He reportedly has a £30 million budget to spend, and with Spurs and Liverpool eyeing up a move for Saido Berahino, Pulis needs more goals in his side.
Gestede had the most Championship goals in 2014, after finding the net 24 times last year. He’s the striker no one suspected would be Blackburns top scorer this season, ahead of Jordan Rhodes.
QPR are also reportedly interested in Gestede and his strike partner Rhodes in a double move.
Blackburn could completely refuse to part with their strikers, after being placed with a transfer embargo for breaching Financial Fair Play rules.
Rovers last game was a 0-0 draw with third place Middlesbrough. They dominated the second half, after goalkeeper Simon Eastwood made some stunning saves to deny Middlesbrough in the first half.
Rovers manager Gary Bowyer said after the game to Sky Sports: “Mr Karanka’s just offered me £200m for Eastwood!
“He’s done brilliantly for us. He’s played two games and we haven’t lost so that’s something for me to look at.
“I don’t think we’re getting enough credit for what we’re trying to do here. It’s a long season and this club has got to get through January, which is a big month for us.”
Blackburn are currently in ninth place in the Sky Bet Championship, having accumulated 35 points this season.
